Reading for the Week: March 13th-19th

Gift ⭐️ Nine of Cups + Anchor ⚓️

This week we will finally start to feel a sense of fullness, gratitude, and abundance. With spring around the corner and longer days, there is a little more lightness in the air, a little more sunshine on our faces. We may also be feeling a sense of pride and expansiveness around the work we do. The Anchor is about stability and commitment in career and there is a feeling of being in the right place, of owning your success, and of being recognized for your hard work. This may also have to do with our inner work and the strides we have made in our own self development. The Nine of Cups says we can sit back for a minute and admire the gains we have made.

Challenge ⭐️ Wheel of Fortune Rx + Stork

On the flip side, though, the Anchor can get a bit entrenched and cause us to be inflexible or intransigent. The reversed Wheel of Fortune speaks to a resistance to change and the fear that comes with newness. What if we lose what we have worked so hard for? What if the thing we think we want or need actually turns out to bring negative changes to our lives? Wouldn't it be better just to stick with what we've got rather than risk taking a chance on the unknown? With the Nine of Cups there is a danger of complacency and a bit too much patting ourselves on the back without looking to the future and attending to the things that need our help and attention. The Stork, though, brings positive change and can help us to feel a sense of aliveness and excitement around upcoming changes rather than fear or dread.

Advice ⭐️ Six of Wands Rx + Lilies

In this context, the Six of Wands advises us not to focus so much energy on getting outside recognition, but to instead find our satisfaction from an internal sense of strength and groundedness. The Lilies speak to a sense of peace and tranquility that comes from a lifetime of learning and a deep wisdom that can only be gained through our life experiences. Rather than parading around looking for reassurance for the ego, we are asked to be like the lily growing quietly from the ground. These lilies break through the snow bringing beauty and hope to what was once a bleak landscape. In these times of grandstanding and showboating in the political sphere, this energy is so needed now. The lily has no need for accolades and knows its blooms are only temporary. But through that knowledge comes a deep gratitude for our time on earth and a satisfaction that is far more lasting.
